Puppy Training Programme

  • Personalised one to one puppy training programme for all breeds from 8 weeks.
  • Your individual programme can commence in your home as soon as your puppy has settled in. It is designed to help you build your relationship, confidence and two way communication
  • The puppy training programme is individual to you and your puppy. It will help and support while you learn to understand their needs, personality & natural instincts. As well as providing puppy support and advice including: help with chewing, biting, jumping up, calmness, manners and building life long routines.
  • The Puppy training Programme includes:
  • An initial consultation (90 minutes) at your home for us all to meet and get to know each other so we can talk through your issues, set up routines if required and to formulate your individual programme
  • 3 x 60 minute sessions (usually weekly) at your home prior to vaccinations being completed. Once vaccinated the sessions can be held at my field or in an appropriate public location.

  • Your programme is designed to help you build your relationship, confidence and communication in real life situations and distraction. including the countryside on a working farm, a dog exercise park or similar, woodland/beach or other recreation area & town or busy urban area.
  • The puppy plus training programme is individual to you and your puppy to help and support while you learn to navigate the real world.
  • The Puppy Plus training programme includes:
  • An initial consultation (90 minutes) at your home or a suitable public location for us all to meet and get to know each other so we can talk through your issues while working with the countryside distractions
  • 3 x 60 minute sessions (usually fortnightly) - session 2 in a residential area, session 3 at a suitable park or woodland etc & session 4 in a town or similar

Behaviour Support Programme From

  • The Speaking Puppy & Adolescent Dog behaviour support programme are sessions held at your home or a suitable location.
  • The programmes are individual to you and your dog's needs are designed to help and support with any behavioural issues. Including: chasing, barking, anxiety, biting & chewing, guarding, separation and reactivity
  • The programme includes:
  • An initial consultation (2 hours) at your home for us all to meet and get to know each other so we can talk through your issues, and to formulate your individual programme
  • 3 x 60 minute sessions (usually fortnightly) initially held held at your home or my field near Llanymenych and when appropriate in an alternative suitable location
  • Programme plan and handouts where required

  • Having a puppy or adolescent dog in your life can be overwhelming as the change so quickly, physically, mentally & emotionally.
  • SOS calls are one to one for support, and advice to help you & your dog through this fast moving period from collection to approximately 15 months
  • Whether you are experiencing
  • Puppy issues such as: toilet training, lack of sleep, feeding, biting, chewing, barking or jumping up.
  • Adolescent issues such as inappropriate behaviours, mood swings or personality changes often caused by hormonal changes.

  • Puppy confidence training is a six week course
  • For puppies between 12 & 20 weeks
  • Suitable for all breeds & especially hi energy and working dog who require space for the exercises.
  • Held in an indoor riding school at the Complete Equestrian Centre Maesbrook with sufficient space to ensure the puppies do not disrupt each other or find the other dogs too close during the session
  • The course will cover:
  • Puppy skills including recall, loose lead walking, close off lead walking & wait
  • Confidence building games
  • Communication & focus activities
  • and more
  • Each session is 55 minutes
  • This is a six week course & missed sessions cannot be refunded
  • The riding school is undercover but unheated so please wear appropriate clothing for the time of year

  • Three week loose lead, recall course
  • Alternating between 3 weeks loose lead followed by 3 weeks recall.
  • For dogs of all ages and all breeds, especially high energy and working dog who require space for the exercises.
  • Held in an indoor riding school at the Complete Equestrian Centre Maesbrook
  • The loose lead course will cover:
  • Week 1 - foundations & positioning
  • Week 2 - alternative methods to suit your dog
  • Week 3 - with added distractions
  • The recall course will cover:
  • Week 1 - foundations
  • Week 2 - alternative rewards to suit your dog
  • Week 3 - with added distractions and whistle foundations (if required)
